Default Time to start her up...

I am going to start tuning my car with the HPT I have. just did a **** load of mods and I am ready to fire the car up. I would like to just tune the car so i can drive it around and break in the new clutch and make sure nothing goes wrong. After the clutch is broking in then I will go to a pro to have it tuned WOT. Can I do that? Just tune it for part throttle, like daily driving.

Heres what I need to tune in.
New Mototron 60#'s
delete EGR, Air Charge System, and rear o2's.
Also put in a 160 stat so I have to adjust for this to.

Can I do all this before starting the car or does the car have ti run first?
I would think the 60#'s would foul out the plugs pretty fast if I didn't make that adjustment first.

I have read up a little tuning and stuff but really was waiting till I got to this point to really start learning. I guess I am just going to tune it in SD till I have it tuned by a pro. Anyone here can help me out. Kinda guide me.

The car is a 99 TA, stock motor, with a turbo kit on it.

Are you starting off with a stock file. For just starting up and a gentle break in I would keep it really simple untill your ready for a full tune.

Before you start the car.
Adjust the IFR for new injectors, http://www.transamws6.net/HPTuners/injectors.xls
Cranking ve and afterstart enrichment might need to be edited. If so https://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagnostics-tuning/340540-anyone-ever-figure-out-hot-start-issues.html
Raise idle depending on mods.
delete codes, egr ect, not necessary but can't hurt.
lower fan temps.

That should do it for a drive around the block. Pay close attention to fuel trims to make sure your running to lean.

Adjusting the IFR is where I get a little confused at. I know for each size injector you have to put a certain number into the pcm right. The place I got them from says they "The injector flows 60 lbs/hr at 3 BAR (43.5 PSI); and up to 85 lbs/hr at 87 PSI!

Injector Rated Fuel Pressure:--60
Your Fuel Rail Pressure:-------?
Injector Rated Flow Rate------43.5

Is that what I have to put into that table to find out what numbers I will get?

for the rated pressure put 43.5, your rail pressure is whatever you get at the rail depending on yuor set up. i get 62 with a 255lph pump. and your flow rate should be entered as 60. it woudl be best to see the range of you rail pressures through the vacuum range, it will help the tuning out a good bit IMO
