Default pcm injector drivers

Can someone outline the two types of injector drivers and does GM use the same type in all there vehicles. Specifically wondering about the 5.3 vs the 8.1

I'm going to take a guess at what your mean:

Does GM use saturated or peak /hold drivers for their LSx and Vortech lines?

Saturated in all as far as I know. However, I have never peaked under the hood of a 8.1.

Peak & hold & current limited/saturated. The latter is what is used on LSX & most motors that I know of. The peak & hold is usually used on low resistance injector circuits.
There are a couple more variations I think, but I dont think GM uses them.

P/H injectors have bigger coils then saturated injectors. P/H are more linear, have a wider flow range, and are less effected by voltage drop. Saturated are less expensive.

Saturated injectors will work on a P/H driver. But not the opposite.

Why are you interested in P/H?
