Default AFR...what gear?

I am finalizing the tune on the car and am doing the WOT tune now. I have an auto with 2.73s and am doing this on the road. I know I am suppost to be doing this in the 1-1 gear (3rd) but to get to my rev limiter I am pushing 200mph in 3rd and it is clearly not an option. I get it tuned in 2nd and end up with 13.0 in 2nd and 12.0 when I hit 3rd? what do you guys do in this situation, is there and sort of formula or some special trick you can do with hptuners to get it right?

You should be able to tune it in 2nd if you're getting enough cell counts/data. It sounds like you need to check what your commanded AFR is. I had an issue with it dumping more fuel in because of the cat. conv. protection. Until I turned that off, I couldn't understand why the commanded AFR would richen up even though I had the OLFA table pegged at 1.17.
