Default IFR for 42# injectors??

how are you guys getting these numbers for the injector flow rate for SVO 42#lbs. like: 48.05 48.43 48.74 48.98 49.29 49.67 49.91 50.22 50.47 50.78 51.03 51.34 51.59 51.90 52.15 52.46 52.70

I just put in SVO 42# injectors in my car today and i have EFI Live tuner & programmer and need to tune my injectors for my forged 348 cid with a T-REX cam just installed, be for i had SVO 30#. I found these numbers on here in a search, but the flow rate numbers that i found is still to lean for my motor the 30#s was maxed out and running out of fuel on top in . With these flow rate number my car has alot more power on top in but I have pos LTFT on top in can i just tweek these number to fix it if so how much.

Thanks,Randy

"Well, to raise this from the past, I installed 42 green tops ( part # 0 280 150 558 ) tonight and did this:

41.47*sqrt(58/40) {1.2041594578792296}*41.47=49.94 ( or use the calculator built into HP Tuners )

49.94/26.41 (new vs old ) = 1.8909503975766755017039000378644

I then multiplied the IFR table by this for the new injectors.

So at 0 map these things are flowing darn near twice the stock 99 injectors!!??!!

WOW!!"

from https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ght=settle+svo

FWIW, mine read:

49.91 50.29 50.66 50.91 51.22 51.59 51.84 52.15 52.39 52.77 53.01 53.32 53.57 53.94 54.19 54.5 54.75

From here, rather than modify the table, I'm modifying the VE table to get ltrims and strims in line.

use the spreadsheet in the stickies.

if your Trims were close to zero but they go wacky after you change you IFR settings, then your IFR settings are wrong. Get the IFR right, or everything you will have from this moment off will be partially off, and you will never end chasing your tail.

I just tried the calculator in the stickies and the numbers came out a hair less than mine posted. I flashed the PCM so I'll see tomorrow how much it changed.

I have a weird anamoly going on however.

From the calculator I get:

49.93737337 50.24859823 50.55790728 50.86533548 51.17091672
51.47468391 51.77666895 52.07690287 52.37541578 52.67223692
52.96739476 53.26091693 53.55283034 53.84316114 54.13193481
54.41917614 54.70490925

Values after hitting save:

49.91437 50.2244 50.53442 50.84445 51.15448 51.4645 51.77453 52.08456 52.39458 52.64261 52.95263 53.26266 53.57269 53.82071 54.13074 54.44077 54.68879

Using 1.7 HPTuners. Basically even though I'm putting the values in, it's changing them when I hit save table. Does yours do that?

No ,I have EFI Live V7 programer The only thing that i notice is that if do it in metric for example metric 6.110675 it will round off the imperal 48.49, the metric way look more even and the imperal is a little bummy across the board.

I'm starting to wonder about these numbers.

Taking my numbers and the difference between them and stock I'm getting an escalting curve upwards. Is that right? Wouldn't the numbers be identical or is not a linear injector?

42lb numbers, 40psi, 41.47 injector,@ 58psi
49.91 50.22 50.53 50.84 51.15 51.46 51.77 52.08 52.39 52.64 52.95 53.26 53.57 53.82 54.13 54.44 54.69

stock 99 26lb
26.41 26.62 26.79 26.91 27.10 27.28 27.41 27.59 27.72 27.90 28.03 28.21 28.34 28.52 28.65 28.83 28.96

difference
23.50 23.62 23.74 23.93 24.05 24.18 24.36 24.49 24.67 24.74 24.92 25.05 25.23 25.30 25.48 25.61 25.73

yes it should go higher ,The number that you have was simuler to the first one's that i figered out ,but it made my car run extreamly lean. The lower the number the richer you go mine starts out at 44.40 and ends at 48.49 now my LTFT's are at 0.78 at cruse and 0.0 at WOT. these numbers are for FMS 42bls injectors @ 58bls fuel pressure.

44.40 44.71 44.95 45.20 45.51 45.76 46.01 46.26 46.50 46.75 47.00 47.25 47.50 47.74 47.99 48.24 48.49

For me to end up with these numbers i had to start with numbers just about like your and them had to start subtracking (1.0) from (all) till i got close to (0.0)trims and them had to start on the (0.10) across the board now they are perfect for my forged 348 cid mine will be a little richer becouse of all my mods. 80mm TB & mass air heads T-REX cam to start. I beleave if any body changes there injector and caculate the injector flow rate they will haft to tweek the injector flow rate to get them were they want them to be.

Ahh, we're going about tuning in a different manner.

I'm trying to set the scale as it should be and adjust LTFT's and STFT's with VE via Speed Density mode.

Just one of the ways to get to the same point.

My 42lb SVO's are rated 41.47 @40 psi so 49.91 at 58psi.
