Default Stalling/surging when coming to a stop/reverse

Has there ever been a standard resolution to this?? I have searched all over the place and the threads just end with no resolution. My car starts and idles prefectly. wouldn't change a thing but soon as I put it in reverse and start to pull out of the garage it surges and stalls. I bandaided it by changing the throttle cracker enable to 30mph and disable to 29mph. I can back up and drive slowly with out surging but still get it when coming to a stop. What is the correct way to rectify the problem. I will assume once this is resolved that most of the lockup bucking will go away as well. Please help me out.... Thanks...

what head/cam/stall do you have? post your RAF tables, and is your TPS 0% when you take your foot off the throttle?

Need to know the full specs of the car...

Sound like you need to increase your Idle Air Table. You'll know when you have too much, it will have a cruise control effect in an auto or the rpms will hang when you let off the gas while moving, M6.

Good luck I still haven't got mine to stop stalling/surging all the info I get is for HPT or EFIlive. I have LS1edit, I guess no one has edit anymore.

How much should it be increased? A couple 1/10's or multiplied by a percentage? What tables should I be logging? I am pretty new to this so please bear with me.

you have to log data to find out. sounds like your idle air values are off though. like redhardsupra said, make sure tps is 0 as well

The TPS is at 0% at idle at least. The TPS voltage is at .43

Exactly what data do I need to log?

For starters, set your idle to 975 and mutiply your stock IAC table by 1.3 , that should help out some. Since you have an auto it's a lot more trial and error...

Do you think 850 is too low? It idles perfectly and starts hot/cold with absolutely no issues... I will give it a try tonight and see how it goes.

reset any changes you made to throttle cracker and follower. only thing that should have to be messed with IMO to get it there would be idle airflow and VE. did you do any logs in gear?

I just installed a TR 224/224 and I am having surging and stalling problems. I was thinking of raising the idle to 925, and the IAC...is there only one table????

For the IAC? I went into edit---idle---idle airflow. Is that where it is???

Thanks,

if u get them inline in the effective area table. what you want to make happen is ahve the desired and dynamic airflow lines overlap eachother, then the car will beable to compensate for changes better
