I looked at the BS3 and PERSONALLY didn't like the "feel" of it........I can't explain it but just something didn't fit.......I had heard about the XFI system not having enough dwell issue but when I talked to FAST about this they didn't see how this was possible......guess I will find out (if it turns out true I'll convert to an MSD spark system)......

I also didn't like the fact that it was pretty much an "LS1 only" setup......I wanted something that could be used on anything (because the other car which is a BBC I am working on I'm thinking of going SFI also).......

it came down to "it's my money and I feel most comfortable with the XFI"....not saying it's right, just what I felt was right....

now if anyone has any info of "hey....so you know you will have this ______ issue and might need to look into doing this _______ " I would appreciate it

They have a few models to choose from (COP & distributor). We've used them on BBC, SBF, LT1|4, and LS1s. The BS3 website isn't the clearest when it comes to describing the different systems. Did you get to read through the BS3 manual before? If not and you want to give it a read let me know, same goes with the software.

yeah....I read and played with the production software for the BS3, FAST XFI, ElectroMotive (actually the one I like the best but I didn't like the fact that it uses the waste spark design and that I would have to mount a 60-2 reluctor on the crank and a 120-2 reluctor on the cam ), and the Motec (which I found to be the WORST....it is $$$, needs lots of "add ons", and all DOS based.....yuckkkk)......

MY personal like order goes:

ElectroMotive http://www.electromotive-inc.com/
FAST XFI http://www.http://fuelairspark.com/
BS3 http://www.bigstuff3.com/index2.html
----
----
switch to carb
----
----
----
Motec http://www.motec.com/

I must have missed the part where it said anything but LS1........their site seems all LS1......

The BigStuff3 GEN3 PRO SEFI system is the first programmable “powertrain” control module for “today’s” SEFI, Coil-on-Plug (COP) engines and electronic controlled transmissions.
