lol...
here we go again...

it all depends on what you want to do....
and especially since eveybody will have a new version here very soon...
its all just what you want to do with it

I personally went with hptuners cause I wanted to make some money back from tuning other friends on a local board....
but IF EFI would have been smart and made it so that you purchase vehicle types..not just 1 vin...then they would have gotten it...(Hit hint EFI guys- Fix the problem and get more business by making your product More than 2 vins for 600 bucks)

IF its JUST SCANNING...then EFI is probably the best way to go right now until we see what the hptuners 2.0 is going to really do(hint hint - hurry up and release it to us normal non tuner shop guys)...

but honestly....
Why just scan....we know you are going to buy a tuning program too....
theres really no point in just scanning if you cant use the data to do anything with...

I know. I'm just getting so tired of this question, that I don't care to explain the benifiet of SEARCHING for what product meets the individual needs...

But, to !smartass, www.efilive.com & www.hptuners.com are the best packages you can get. (re)SEARCH and decide what's right for you!

Aye Aye ... post up if I missed anything ... I listed the major scanning software I know of, the major tuning suites I know of, and the handhelds I remembered off the top of my head
