Default fuel pump control

i have a tank full of bad gas and am looking for a way to get rid of some of it without dropping the tank. my question is can i use the vcm controls>fuel & spark>fuel pump=on to switch the fuel pump on and use that as a way to get rid of some of the **** gas that i have without hurting the pump? i am thinking i can use my fuel pressure guages' bypass and take it straight to a fuel jug.

will this work?

I did that w/ EFILive, disconnecting my return line (running an external regulator) and routing it to a fuel jug to pump out most of my tank's contents...worked like a champ.
