Default change oil light!! make it go away

After installing my headers this light came on and over a period of a month and a half it still isn't going away and its pissing me off.... the oil is fine and shouldn't have to be changed for another 1000 miles? whats going on......(and the car has been driven only about 500 miles over that period of a month and a half)

I doubt it is related to changing the headers.....

the manual for the car explains how to clear it...

but... I believe it's something like when you start the car, hold the trip meter button down for 10 or 15 seconds?

This light has NO IDEA when you change your oil or the condition of the oil....

Regardless though... your car user manual shows how to clear this light ... I'd check mine but it's 500 miles away at the moment

Talking

Turn the key on- without starting the car. Pump the gas pedal about 4-5 times. That will turn it off.
