Default AFR is 17:1 in closed loop!! Why??

I though I saw a thread about this but I cannot find it now. Anyway, at the track last night I ran the car twice, running good AFR at idle is 14.5:1 or so, WOT was a touch rich at 12.4:1, which is what I wanted at the time.

I notice the car is heating up a bit and decided to turn the fans on lower temp. So I did that, reprogrammed and then the AFR in closed loop is 16 and even 17:1 !!??

I could not figure out what the hell was going on. The O2 sensors were switching OK, a little slower than normal but still OK. All I changed was the fan turn on temps, nothing else. Any ideas?

How long did you let the car sit between runs? Do you still have AIR enabled? Perhaps the AIR pump was turned on to heat up the O2's?

My AIR system is disabled, I don't have it on the car anymore. I am going to try undoing the fan changes and see if somehow that works.
