Default Innovative LC1 control/interface box

made this up this weekend using some D-sub connectors, mic connectors, binding connectors, LED's and 12 volt power adapter. The d-sub connectors are used for input from the LC1 and power/ground for it, also included is a momentary push button and an LED for calibration mode/system status. The small box is gonna be used for AFR only on vehicles other than mine, the larger box will be dedicated for my HPTuner once I get the advanced interface option. The 12 volt adapter is used for powering the LC1 using vehicle cigarette lighter/accessory outlet, it is also switched because some vehicle outlets are on all the time. The small interface AFR box also has binding connectors for power/ground input for older cars without an accessory power outlet. Ifyou plan on using the power accessory option for your LC1, I recommend checking or running a new chassis ground for it, because the LC1 is very tempermental when the ground is concerned. I havent had time to test it yet, but I feel confident it will work fine using the parts I chose..dont mind the mess on the bench.....anyway enjoy

looks good.

I am working on a solution for them as well, but more compact, it's not easy

i didnt want a permanent install, that's why i made the boxes and it'll be easier moving it from car to car with a few simple hook ups....i dont know how much more compact it can be, especially the HPTuner interface, because of the cable itself, but good luck to you

I did something really similar....
be careful with the Dsub connectors as they are usually only rated to 6 amps....dont want one to melt on ya

i thought about that puttin it together but the wires on the LC1 were only 20 or 22 guage; very dinky, so i figured if they were that small then the d-subs should handle the system

I'm not building it for hptuners interface. I plan on using a 6 or 8 pin metripack connector, and a inline led and switch. Main purpose is for use with another type of tuning tool, that has an analog input as well.
