VE vs MAF and B1 vs B2

VE vs MAF and B1 vs B2
Anyone else notice a possible correlation here? In tuning the MAF and VE tables, it almost looks like in normal operation B1 is more representative of the MAF and B2 is representative of the VE table. Could that be possible? Maybe that's how the PCM keeps a check on how "out of whack" (sorry to get technical on you guys) the tables are from one another???
