Default friction torque vs oil temp

I saw this table in hptuners and it seems like it could be useful but I didn't know the pcm read oil temp. Is there an oil temp sensor that I don't know about or does it go by coolant temp?

it could be infered oil temp, not sure if there is a real temp sensor to my knowledge. I know most ford diesel's have the sensor though.

These tables are typically a value entered by data that effect the torque table, used for calculatiing transmission shifting and other torque based changes.

Well in this case it is calculating the torque and therefore the airflow it needs to simply idle. It may not need changing for idling problems but I thought it could be a factor in hot start vs cold start problems. Maybe it uses a combination of ECT, IAT and engine run time to figure out oil temp.
