Default Having an odd problem with my car...?

hey guys i seem to be having a problem with my car. it seems like maybe a stuck fuel injector or something.

first off i have an 01 ss with mods in sig, no nitrous though.

i have tr6s gapped @ .038. and factory fuel injectors with speed inc rails.

I do have teh 02 switching code for some reason and cant get rid of it.

my car is having a problem with idling horribly. it also misfires somtimes when i go to drive it. like if in traffic or just start it in the morning. but if i romp on it it seems like the plugs clean off and then i am good to go.

I put lucas injector treatment in yesterday, and today it was acting real bad. Idling at like 500 rpm, it started to misfire and then the SES light began to flicker meaning a misfire, then it turned off completely for like 10 minutes. it eventually cam back on, i had some slight misfire under like 1600rpm. rigth before getting home today though, idle sat exactly at 800 and never flinched flickered or missed. prob the best idle i have had in a long time.

I am going to change my plugs to tr55s gapped at .060 today and give everything a once over.

If anyone has any ideas please share.

how can i check to see if i have aleaky injector?

Thanks
Louie

if you have a tuning program you can monitor the o2's on a chart to see what they are doing. i have found that on my car my horrible idle issues were from bad o2's.

that is most likely my problem as well then...as far as that...

I just did al ittle work to my car and then took it around the block. windows up, no music.

It did the misfiring again where the car runs like ****, and then the code start to flash, BUT what i noticed this time is that i got engine whine coming from my monsoon system, which leads me to believe that i may have an electical problem somewhere...

Possibly a battery, alternator, connection problem somewhere?

i check teh alternator connection, it was good. i then checked my battery connections they were good as well. all the underhood grounds i removed and clean up with a grinder and then reconnected.

I havent driven since this problem, but i am curious what others ahve to say about the egnien whine coming when it start to miss???

I saw in one of your header posts that you had problems with the slip on collectors. Are your slip on collectors leaking?
If they are then your O2s are telling the PCM that you are lean and in turn it is adding too much fuel.

You need to get those TR6's out, they will cause idle issues if you idle for long. They are not hot enough for a stock motor.

ok i bought tr55s and one of the boxes of 4 was all used plugs! that sucked i will get those returned, change plugs, and then i may go ahead and pull the headers and weld the collectors to the tubes...it may be my only fix...

Thanks
