Default p0300 and the cold

I have a mid sized cam that recently started throwing p0300 codes. I never used to get these codes since the initial tune. Now that its cold out, I get it all the time. Is it the colder air? Or is it something ive done to my tune recently? Anybody else get p0300 with a cam as small as my f-13 112+4?

I use to get it with my 224 cam. You can raise all of the misrfire tables to 32767 and that should eliminate the problem. But you won't be able to tell if the car misfires. Other thing might be to scan and see what cylinders it shows the misfire on.

Yeah, I did scan to make sure it wasnt an actual misfire on one cyl or one bank. The misfire counts are pretty uniform across all 8 cylinders. Ill up the count a little bit. I dont want to disable it altogather. Thanks

I agree. However only change the idle low speed misfire table. Leave the others alone so if you do have a real problem the PCM can protect the engine.

I doubled the values in the low rpm up to 1600 rpm. I figured if it was just barely tripping the SES now, i could probably squeek by just raising it a little rather than effectively disabling it alltogather.

Well, its been working now for 4 cold starts just by doubling the counts... If i still get some errors ill think about putting them all to 32767.
