SLP 85mm MAF
would i need a tune of some sorts to adjust anything on a stock motor?
my descreened stock maf was bad, and i have heads/cam to go on later so i didnt want another lesser cfm maf and have to buy another later. I have a PCMFORLESS tune, Magnaflow exhaust !cats, and a big filter capable of a lot of cfm. i just wondered if the descreened stock maf was flowing around 800-850cfm, thats what the SLP unit flows screened....but wasnt sure and someone "told" me otherwise that i'd need a tune for the new maf.
thanks.

to dial the MAF in 100% you would need to tune it... but you can get away w/out doing anything... the SLP MAF has a resistor in it that tricks the output such that it's a close emulation to stock (so no need to adjust the MAF tables) ... when using an actual Z06/LS6 MAF then you do have to adjust the MAF tables or else you'll set a code

Personally, I am suspicious about the ability of
a single external resistor, to make the Delphi
85mm match the 75mm cal curve entirely.
Then there is the difference between the "'98-'00"
and the "'01-'02" versions, -one- of which has to
not.
