Default "readiness" and emissions testing

OK, lots of good info out there, but I'm trying to build a consensus on how long I should wait to get tested after clearing my codes.

I can clear my codes via autotap, but I'm not aware that autotap will give me any insight on whether everything is "ready."

I hear 4 cold and 4 hot starts with 25 or so miles of driving might be a good bet. Any other opinions?

Sounds about right, but you might want to shoot for 50 miles just to be on the safe side. I discovered that it's vital to ensure you aren't setting any emissions related DTCs as they will, most likely, keep several of the tests from completing until they are dealt with.
