Default big decision about tunning help please

well i got a quote from jeremy formato and that a dyno tune from him would be 500....375 for the tune and 125 for the dyno use....which is not bad at all....the only problem is im strapped for cash.... my ? is what is the difference in numbers and reliability from say a pcmforless mail in tunning and a dyno tune from jeremy....i mean will the numbers be huge? i just want to know is it really worth it?

here is my set up when im done
well...i have and ls6 intake, ported tb, 226/226 .575/.575 cam, gmmg exhaust, 160* thermo, paesetter long tubes, ory, underdrive pulley, lid, smooth bellow, slp 85mm

hard to say what the difference will be but let's put it this way:

Mail order: THey're guessing on the best tune
Dyno: They're using actual data to provide the best tune

yes imo its worth the $$$ a mail order tune is just an educated guess,
you need to check the fueling with a wideband and also i think any good tune should include some logging on the street, the dyno cant replicate day to day driving too well
just my .02

either get a dyno tune or dont bother. save your money for the real thing. even identical cars with the same motor and PCM can have just odd differences that require some customization.
