After I get my open loop SD tune down what do I do when I plug the MAF back in?

I'd like to know as well...I know you're suppose to calibrate the MAF now...
I dont' know if there's a write up that tells you which tables and how to calibrate....

If anyone knows, any feedback would be appreciated.....

What do you do when you plug the MAF back in? Put your seat belt on and hold on tight That's what you do!

Yes, it needs to be recalibrated. But we need to know what tuning software you are using before we tell you how to do it.

Personally, I make a MAP that resembles the MAF Freq. table in the tuning software and log STFT's with the LTFT's turned off (Freq vs RPM vs STFT). Make sure the car is fully warmed up and go log. Then, I'd apply 1/2 of the STFT% average correction to the MAF table. Rinse and repeat. Should be good to go within 3 or 4 logs. Just remember, increase MAF table values to add more fuel and reduce values to subtract fuel. Excel comes in rather handy. The other way is to log MAF Freq vs RPM vs DYNAIR and copy/paste the values directly to the table. However, I don't think this is as accurate since there is a slight delay between the airflow read by the MAF and the airflow calculated by the PCM.

read the stickies about tuning the MAF.
short answer:
1) complete SD tune, plug MAF back in and re-enable
2) log the MAF in varying conditions
3) using an excel provided spreadsheet, convert the numbers
4) repopulate your MAF calibration
5) profit! with a much more responsive car.
