Default Couple of questions (FI)

I am installing a turbo kit at the moment and will be running around 10psi max boost on my stock block with lq9 heads and cam. I dont want to run at 10psi all the time and was thinking of running around 3psi around town and when I felt like it up the boost.

What can I do to run both boost setting on the same tune?
If I turn the boost down or up the tunning will be off.

What can I do???? I need a list of things to buy. I am going to get it tune by a shop if it makes a difference.

If the pcm knows the airflow, just turn the wastegate, and the Timing and Fuel will be compensated for, if you tune the vehicle correctly. As grams/cylinder increase, timing changes cells. As you move more air, the maf signal increases, and fueling is increased.

Good luck getting any turbo setup properly sized for 10 psi on a V8 to run 3 psi around town.

BUT.. if you insist.. you will have to run small springs in the WG, which I doubt you can get to run 3 psi.

As far as tuning goes... if the car is tuned properly for 10 psi, it would already be turned for WOT at 3 psi as well.

I am not sure what your reasoning is for running around on 3 psi.

how about just not pushing the gas pedal in as much?
seriously though, what's the point if you're gonna run 3psi?

I would do a speed density tune because you dont have to worry about your maf maxing out and i think will pick up more power due to better tuning with SD my car all ways stumbled when i got into boost and i took it back to the tuner and he said everything look all right we strap it to the dyno and i lost 100 hp so he reloaded my tune and everything was fine on the way home i had my predator hook up got in to boost an my maf stayed at 0000 and the car stumble again tried it again and i dident cables where fine it was on a 02 camaro check my afr and it went pig rich long story short my maf went bad and it cost me some plugs and ring damage becaus i drove on it for a while befor my motor went with 35000 on it so SD and you will be happy!
