Angry What Causes P0410 Code To Light SES Light????

My SES Light Has Been On And I Got AutoTap For Christmas And Plugged It In And This Code Popped Up Along With The Fuel Theft Deterrent System Not Found Code? What Causes These And How Could I Get Rid Of Em? After I Got My Cam Installed The Tube Going To The Air Box (Lid) In The Front Of The Car, I Disconnected The Hoses Coming From That Pump Underneath In The Front On The Drivers Side. Is This The Problem, It Just Sounded Like A Blower Going Off Every Now And Then? Your Help Is Appreciated. Thanks

Is the pump still coming on? Helms says first thing to check for P0410 is the AIR PUMP fuse - maybe removing the hoses let water in the pump?

I Disconnected The Cable Going To The Device, And Covered Up The Holes Where The Hoses Connected To? Should I Remove The Fuse? This Is the Device Towards The Bottom Of The Car On The Drivers Side Near The Turn Signal Lamp, Under Engine Bay..?

You disconnected the air pump hoses without disabling the code for it? You should have taken the air assembly out while you were at it. You need to get the code deleted with tuning. That air system is for the cats.

Removing the fuse won't turn the SES off (I tried removing mine once for the heck of it and threw code P0412). With the electrical connector unplugged to the pump the PCM is probably going to see the same thing as a blown fuse - air pump not coming on - hence P0410. If you don't want the hoses or AIR system you can take the whole system off, but you'll need to have the AIR codes permanently turned off to keep the SES from illuminating.

The problem is the pump is still running and since you blocked off the holes, no air is going through. I had gotten an ses light when I crimped up the hose. Once I uncrimped it a put a breather filter on it, the ses light went away after a few startups.
