Default Setting a code on intake/tb install?

Just replaced stock ls6 intake and tb for a fast 90 w/NW 90 on car in sig. Started car and it idled down as before. Took it out for a spin and in about 10 miles of driving it has gone into power reduction mode and then flashes service active handling. I had my crane handheld with me and twice had to clear code #0068. What is this? I have not reattached the passenger side valve cover vent to the air bridge yet. Does this matter? Thanks for the input

Probably the 1514 code. Don't know what you mean by code#0068. The 1514 can be fixed with tuning.

According to gearchatter, code 0068 is set if pcm detects too large a difference between maf airflow and sd calculated airflow. Appears to be specific to 2004 model and also states that an improperly installed tb sensor can set code. Will check this evening, and plan on having VHP tune next month with converter install. BTW, Nick, excellent quality and workmanship. Steve

Sounds like that code is the same as a 1514 on an earlier model of car. There should be a table in the PCM to tell it that there is more air for a given TPS with the bigger TB. Raise those values and the problem should go away. I will try to download a 04' file tonight and verify that for you.

removed intake this weekend and found the grommet that seals the map sensor was cut. cleaned map nipple, replaced grommet with viton marine replacement and used ultra black to seal both the grommet and the map body to the intake. let it cure overnight and reinstalled it this morning. the car found idle as before, fast idles for about 20 seconds @1400, then drops to 650 shortly after. took the car out and drove it, seemed to be fine until I got on it, went into power reduction and service active handling. same code 0068, cleared with crane handheld. must be as you stated earlier, Nick.
