Default Innovate XD-1 Standalone Gauge Question...

I was wondering if anyone has tried to use that guage in an A-Pillar pod? The guage it self is super thin but it is the correct diameter and just wanted to know how well it stayed in the pillar pod? Thanks for the help.

Not sure yet...mine is still sitting in the box I don't think it would be a problem with the stuff they included in the box.

I don't know if you've bought it already, but be aware that it's much larger than the standard Autometer sized 2 1/16" gauge. The actual mounting hole is the same size, but the face is significantly larger. I think I have the exact measurements laying around if you need them. You won't have a depth problem if you mount it in a standard thickness gauge pod. The only problem might be the width of the face.

I don't even have it mounted in my car right now because I made a 2 gauge panel that goes in the front of my console (by the cubby hole and cig lighter), but when I put a standard sized gauge next to the XD-1, it looks like I have the gauge equivilant of skinnies and meats. I'm trying to find another gauge that is a similar size, just for asthetic's sake.

Hmmmmmmm...I got a bezel outer diameter of 2.44". What is the outer bezel dia. of the standard Autometer gauges? I wonder if the depth offset of an A-pillar pod would help with the asthetics any? That would suck if it just looks goofy

ya, I got 2.425" with my dial calipers. I don't know the diameter of a standard Autometer style gauge, but it's definately smaller.

Does anyone have the outer diameter measurement of the standard Autometer gauges?

The XD-1 does? Does it look goofy next to other gauges?
