Default Transmission tuner

I need to see if there is someone here that really knows how to tune an A4 with a stall that wouldnt mine looking at my tune HPTuners. The car drives fine but bangs the rev limiter on the 2-3 shift sometimes. I had some servo's installed and it helped but didnt fix it. and I have had a couple tranny shops tell me it sounds like my tune.

mods
3000 stall, 3.73, cam, fill bolt-ons with a procharger.

Try downloading one of mine from Horist's site,
correct the MPH for the 3.42 gears and compare
to what you're doing now. Any converter worth
having will want the shift MPH brought down a
bit.

Did you try dropping the WOT shift points? I have mine set at 5850rpm for a 6100rpm shift.

yea I lowered the shift RPM to 5000 and still hit the rev at 6700 before servo's I havent tried since then. I was confused about the shift RPM vs shift speed settings do they both control the shift or what.

shift is controlled by both shift RPM and shift speed.... BOTH conditions must be met

Example:
if shift RPM is 5000 RPM but shift MPH is 90mph... then the car must be going >=90mph AND >=5000RPM

I usually tune by setting the shift RPM ~150-200 RPM below where I want to shift... then drop the shift MPH WAY below the MPH that will be had in that gear at that RPM

example:

2-3 shift:
6300RPM and 60mph

Shift occurs right around 6500 RPM

having the same porblem my car wont shift at WOT and i dont want to have it sit up there long enough to find out. my current setup with ls1edit is 6700 redline, and my shift points are at 6100 and shift speeds are left at the stock 1-2 @ 32mph , 2-3 @ 66mph , and 3-4 @ 108mph. i feel the only way i can get it to shift is lifting off the accel. after hitting the limiter over and over let the r's drop far enough and get back on it slowly. I also have 3.73 gearing and a 4000stall. but even before this new stuff i still had the shifting prtoblem

PM Cablebandit I believe he figured out this problem on his car oddly enough its something messed up that gm did on the general page where the gear settings are located. It may or may not be the same issue but it sounds about the same.
