Default POLL - how much timing are you running at wot?

how many degrees of timing are your running at wot and what is your A/f ratio? also list what spark plug and gap you use. since octane varies by state list what octane fuel you are using too. also list your mods like cubic inches, compression ratio and power adders if its not already in your sig.

i am running 25.5 degrees of timing at wot and 12.8:1 A/f ratio. 91 octane gas here. since i plan on adding a dry nitrous kit in the future i am runnin ngk tr6 plugs gapped at .035 > when i spray the juice i will run 100 octane gas

Alot of you guys are running alot of timing.. Curious... have you had it on a chasis dyno and have seen what that timing does for you? just because its not giving you knock counts doesn't mean its the right amount of timing.

Default timing

I agree with this statement. I have tuned a cam only car " Magic stick" it would make its best power at 31-32 degrees it could take up to 35 degrees but would loose power about 13.5 on the dyno wb and no knock in either tune.

27* Timing with 12.0-12.9 AFR @ WOT. Compression is 11.2-1 on a 383 Stroker and 93-94 octane fuel. Spark plugs are NGK TR55IX gapped...I believe .050.

It's interesting, I tried TR55 plugs in my car but they showed signs of being too hot. So I switched to TR6. You guys with more timing, leaner mixtures don't seem to have that problem.

I run 27-28 peak TQ
28-29or peak hp.

If I back any of those numbers off i'll lose hp.

As for the folks running 32-36, thats extreme overkill. I've had a few 'old school' guys that dont understand the concept of how ls1 type heads work run up to 36-38* on ls1's. I backed one guys car down from 36 to 28 at the track and he gained quite a few tenths.
