Default Misfire #7

Pulling codes PO307 and PO357 ignition coil circuit.Ive checked the plugs wires and coil.Ive also checked the wiring under the coil brackets, there was a spot that had worn through the heat tape but not broke through the wire.Got the test light out hooked it to the + cable like the book said to check harness at the coil for pcm signal.Didnt get a signal at any coils I checked #2,#5 or #7.Does this mean the pcm is bad? The car is running just missing. How would I be getting any fire without pcm signal?

swap coils adn see if the miss changes cylinders. if it doesnt then i would recheck that spot where it wore through check and see if theres power before or after that spot. is it a steady miss?

If you have already moved plugs and wires around and it's still reading #7 misfire then it has to be the coil pack, and I believe those are dedicated to their respective cylinders meaning if you move them you will run into more problems...could be wrong though but I read a post about someone with firing problems and they had to change two of their packs around because they had them on the wrong cylinders.

is there anyway to test the ignition coils with a multimeter to make sure that theyre functioning. my 98 ls1 is running a little rough, my first guess would be that one or maybe more of the coils has gone bad (113,000miles). ive also replaced the spark plugs at this time. each plug gets lighter as you go from cylinder 1(darkest) down to 8. im not sure if this means anything. id really like to be able to test the coils though.
