Only codes marked with C=Current, H=History and or P=Pending should be considered as "real" codes.

ALL the others can be ignored - especially "I" and "O" codes.

The I codes = Immature which means the PCM has seen a condition that *MAY* be in some way related to that code. But it CANNOT and should not be considered as a "real" code because not enough other conditions were/have been met.

The O codes = Old and are codes that have been previously set but are not currently set (unless accompanied by H,C or P).

You only have one code to concern yourself with:

P0440 Engine controller ($10) M P O H 1 - C I Evaporative Emission Control System

It also has a history freeze frame which you can se eby clicking on the History button.

Most vehicles have just as *many* of these types (I and O) codes as yours, you should not be concerned about them - just ignore them.

You can switch off the display of Old and Immature codes in the Advanced Tab page of the properties window. There is really no need to "see" these codes except maybe for your own interest.

The ability to display these Old and Immature codes was added after a number of customers requested the feature.

When i spoke with my service advisor he said it was probaly a loose gas cap.

Should I reset all the codes? I have used the history feature it is interesting to say the least. I also used it at a dealership durring a test drive for a freind. The salesman almost fliped out! It was a nice to know more about the car than he did!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Wow! Sounds like a record to me. Have you pulled the connectors off your pcm and cleaned everything up? Sounds like you are getting some shorts, somewhere.
"Loose gas cap" his ***.
Good Luck.
BTW, if you decide to pull the pcm connectors, unhook one of your battery cables first. Then check for corrosion or "blackend" terminals.

I have never seen it displayed that way so I figured it was setting all of them at once.

All the SES light was from is the gas cap was loose! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

It's gone now and back to trying to dial in my Ltrims.

Does anyone see some thing I need to take a look at? The dealer said not to clear them and he will check them all out.

If I could get some feedback I could stress some issues if needed.
