Default this is driving me crazy.help

i go to crank my car and it take's a few tries, back fire's and make's weird noises.i had it dyno tunes twice bye geof at thunder and he cant figure it out.i changed plugs,tb,mass air meter and pulled my IAC sensor out and cleaned it.fuel pressure is fine.it mostly happens on warm startup's.

think it might be my injector's or fuelpump?

if you can get a mechanical fuel pressure gauge, hook it up to the fuel rails and that'll tell you if it's your fuel pump.

Possible it could be the fuel filter too (how many miles since you last changed?)

When I swapped PCMs a while back I had to do a CASE learn on the car, until I did that I was setting a Cam position code, and it really didn't want to start on me (since the PCM was just guessing when the time was right for fuel and spark)

I guess since Thunder looked at it it would be pointless to ask if it's throwing any codes.
It would help to know what Geof has tried and ruled out.

Have you viewed fuel pressure while cranking it? Sometimes if the pump is weak it can build pressue(key on motor off) but not sustain it if there's any fuel flow.

i used a external fuelpressure guage a few month's ago and tested it every way.im not 100% sure, but i think it was 40psi key off and 60psi running.it never droped down further than 40 with the key on and motor not running either.

im still not rulling it out.

i'm gonna look at the crank position sensor next.
