Default Current gear PID? Not operable? and PRNDL equpped disabled?

maybe my 99 firebird doesnt support this? it always stays in 1. It may have gone to 3 once but no matter if im in P or R it seems to be in one. Also another thing i noticed, the PRNDL Equipped is set to disabled even though i have an auto and it has the switch on the shifter. I tried to enable PRNDL equipped status and log the PID and it always says 4th gear.
Thanks
Dave

My stock tune file says "Disabled" for "PRNDL equipped"
but I have logged Trans Current Gear OK, and plenty.
Though I've never paid attention to what it does in
Park or Reverse.

I thought that had to do with a PRNDL indicator that was not mechanically attached to the shifter itself.

The PRNDL Enable is mostly on trucks, from what I have seen. Trucks have the neutral safety switch mounted on the trans lever, not the shifter. So I would venture to guess that has somethign to do with it. Also when logging current gear, you will only see 1 - 4 on automatics, 1 on manuals. There is nothing in the system to show if it is in neutral, reverse or park ... that is handled by the NSS.
