EFI Live OS question from their tutorial.
Custom OS and 2/3 Bar Tutorial.
"If your operating system is not listed (i.e 1999 and 2000 model years), you may use one of the 2001,2002 operating systems. Unfortunately, it is not possible to upgrade your calibrations to the new operating system. If you upgrade the PCM to a later year, you will need to retune your PCM for that Operating System."
Now, does this mean my existing tune(1999) can not be used as a base if I upgrade to the 2002 operating system?
What does it mean?
TIA

You can try doing this:
1. Look at the modification summary to locate which areas you need to move over.
2. Use the copy with labels to match up the values in the new file - verify after you paste with labels

Go to www.efilive.com and look at the online forum where it has talk about the custom os under general. Post your guestions there and they will get quicker responses than from here. Ross and Paul are great guys at efi live. I wish i could explain that to you but I haven't dug enough into it to find out, and I have a 01 car. Hope Ross or Paul can fully answer your question at efi live

Just found this...
If you are upgrading a 1999 or 2000 O.S to a 2001+ O.S then you will not be able to use any existing .tun file you may have for your 1999/2000 vehicle.
You will need to obtain a stock (or modified) .bin or .tun file to suit your vehicle
