main diff is the LC1 is cheaper

The LM1 is a better solution if you're using a standalone scanning (not integrated like HPT) ... LM1 is also better for portable use since it can log internally and is easier than the LC1 to swap between vehicles

The main difference between the two is portability. The LC1 is more of a hardwire type of install where the LM1 uses a DV plug that goes directly into the cigarette lighter for power. Both share the same features and benefits except the LM1 offers a Display Box with a digital readout of your AFR. Both can be used on any software application that accepts a 0-5v input. (HPTuners or EFILive) You can get a LC1 with an additional gauge that can be mounted in the car as well. Both are a wonderful choice and many chose the LC1.

Thats like the cliff notes version. I should have said that instead.
