I had one, it did prove gain on the dyno: 3RWHP and 10 lbs ft. If its a good deal, it will get rid of your top speed limiter, raise rev limiter, adjust speedo for tire height/gears, and since your an auto you can firm up the shifts. If you get rid of it to get a real tune, get the PCM reflashed after you return to stock and before you get tuned.

Unless you are getting it really cheap, you could probably use the same money to pay for a real tune.

i would avoid it, if you are planning on more mods like a cam and stall then wait to have it tuned .

mine came with my car which was good because it has the 18'' corvette rims on the back and 3.42 gears instead of the stock 2.73's so that way i could adjust my speedo. I have also adjusted my shift firmness to 75% which has awesome jumps when it shifts. You can adjust a lot more. Because mine came with my car i was happy!
