cold start/idle
I'm new to efi live.
Just after start up my cars idles very poor. The 02 are in the low 400's. How do I add some fuel? It slowly richens up but it takes a long time.
I have raised the cold start idle rpm by 100 just cause it runs so bad that it wants to idle low
Also, what should the idle learn enable temp be set to. Mine is 176

you can add fuel by adjusting the VE table (larger number = more fuel) or open loop fuel table. Before you start tweaking fuel, I would highly suggest you pick up a WB. Send Black02SS a pm or check out his website www.greenlightmotorsports.com

I was getting ready to order a wb because i'm getting ready to spray it for the first time, but I lost my job at Ford so the whole thing has been put on hold.
Just trying to get it to idle a little better in the mean time, but if it has to wait for a wide band thats ok

Tuning without a wideband is like driving blind folded. You can do it, but....
While you are waiting on a wideband, check out the EFILive forum for tuning idle with the RAFIG PID. This might help you out a bit. Also, if you have changed your injectors, you will want to use RedHardSupra's spread sheet to calculate a new IFR table.
