Default wideband problem

I just got my wideband hooked up and every thing went smothly i changed sampling rate to 1/6 and i pulled out of my drive way every thing looked good afr was 13-14 on the way to the gas station. Put some gas in it and started it up and now my afr is 9. Also my narrowband wont move from 447mv on that bank has any one had this problem?

yes...i've had a bunch of trouble in the past with the narrowband simulation. others on here have been a little more lucky. i think it's mainly in the wiring...but don't have the time or energy to figure it out. the easiest thing to do is to force the car into open-loop and tune it that way. that way, you don't have to worry about the O2's/fuel trims getting in the way.

I dont have to force open loop it wont go into closed loop right now i drove for 1/2 hour and the narrowband voltage never changed and i never went into closed loop. I did fugure out my afr problem but would like to see if i can get the car to go into closed loop any one got any ideas?

Just a guess here, but if your NB sim doesn't change voltage, I would get it is reporting not ready to the PCM.

BTW, a 447mV output reading is an indication of the analog output chip failing. Could also be wiring, etc. Mine went 447 and I had to send it in for repair. Been working fine since then, if that's any consolation.

yeah sounds like a burnt wire or bad narrowband o2 sensor throwing you into open loop...just because your ses didnt come on doesnt mean its not in there waiting to set

If you have HPT you can monitor the Fueling Bits, such as Open loop enabled, O2 ready, etc.

I'm guessing you are using either a LC1 or LM1. If the unit is fairly new, I'm sure Innovate will repair it for free; they did mine. I just had to pay for shipping one way.

OK this was the first trip out with the wideband so hopefully it wont cost me anything. Just sucks if i have to wait even longer to get things going.
