Default Pass Inspection??

I just put on headers and true duals on my 00 TA. No cats. I took out EGR and AIR and am going to have MTI delete them out of the computer. Without a visual inspection will I pass a vehicle inspection. I think the new system reads cat read out.. Please advise???

um.... where are you located? what kind of testing do they do?

If it's roller you won't pass w/out cats
if it's OBDII testing, you will likely pass w/the tuning
If you're in California... you won't pass visual

I am in houston tx and its obdII testing. Visual is part of the inspection but they have never done it to me yet. I just wanted to know if the machine would pass the car.. Thanks

as long as your check engine light is not on, and your systems are reading "ready" you'll pass the machine. most inspectors don't even check for egr or air pump anymore cause every car is different. most don't even look under the car most of the time, unless they have reason to believe the cats wouldn't be there.

if your car is really loud... or you have dumps before the rear axle (no exhaust tips) then I would definetly recommend putting cats in for testing though.... granted when I brought mine in they didn't check for cats... but they did look at it funny..... fortuanetly I'm 100% Legal even had cats on for it
