I have Tuner Cat for the 1996-1997 LT1 and the 1996-2000 Vortec Trucks. The program works ok, but the help files are not done yet and the scan software that is being developed by another party is not ready. I have the Tuner Shop version of HP TUNERS for V6 and V8 cars from 1997 and the V8 trucks from 1999. The scanner software that comes with it is the best I've seen. Plus the help files are a great asset.

I see.... SO you were not happy with your Tuner cat system I take it. I will not be the person tuning my car with it I have a very good friend that has alot of time tunning LT1 cars and he is the one who said to go with Tuner cat as he has already used it alot. Is there any way with Tuner cat to check or erase codes from the pcm? I am curious to learn about the tuning of these cars and how it all works. On an average how long dose it take to upload a file into the car?

Personally I couldnt stand its navigation or the functions of how you enter & modify stuff...no smoothing, no interpolation function, no copy/paste special, no scanner...just alot of stuff I couldnt get past just to be able to tune LT1's & LS1's on the cheap...it would've taken probably hours longer to tune a single car then hptuners...so even though the licenses are mroe expensive it, to me, was well worth it(hptuners that is).

I would like to thank all of you who have posted on this thread for helping me out with what to look out for when I finally get this software and start the tuning process.
