Default Tuning for Nitrous

I dont spray my truck, but Im gonna hit it with a 100 or 125 shot next weekend, and a 125, or 150 two weekends after that. Is there anything that I need to do besides bump the timing down?? Also, how much timing should I remove? I think Im running about 36* right now

I'm not familiar with the "normal" timing for your truck, but alot of guys will drop it 1-2*/50hp. Not tuning related per se, but I'd change to a colder plug and run the proper safety devices as well if you're not already. (wot switch, window switch, fpss, etc).

make sure you wont hit the rev limiter.. its a fuel cut limiter, and cutting fuel on nitrous is a no-no.

i wouldnt pull out timing unless i was spraying a larger shot.... assuming you're running the proper nitrous plugs and all, just do it like a bolt on kit.... no timing changes.

if your engine is modified, check your WOT AFR with a wideband before you spray.. you dont want to be lean before you start spraying..

You can run the 150 shot without pulling any timing. here is how i tuned for nitrous.

I tuned it NA to a AFR of 13.0 @WOT, easy, kept stock timimg tables too. Then just threw on 62 n2o jet and a 33 fuel jet. My AFR on the juice is low 12's at mid rpm's to low 11's at the high rpm's. Plenty safe.
There is no need to pull timing on a shot of that size. Just be sure to have enough fuel and dont activiate the nitrous till at least 2800 rpm's
