Default bettter throttle response

can anyone explain which values to change to get a better throttle response?
I'm using LS1edit

That's very vague and doesn't give us much information, so I'll be equally vague in saying the answer is fuel & spark values.

I will add that I prefer to run OLSD tunes which I think generally have better response and are more predictable.

Number one is, maximum tolerable spark advance. But
"tolerable" depends on the fueling situation, and the
knock retard is p[rone to over-react to any hint of
ping (costing you way more timing than the original
error might have been about). If you aren't being hit
by knock retard, push the timing map until you are and
then back out enough to be comfortable. I've put more
than 6 degrees onto the part throttle areas, more in
places. A histogramming scan tool (I use HPTuners, do
not know what you have) is swell for seeing the whole
picture; otherwise you have to attack it anecdotally,
event by event (or the lack) in fine-twiddling the spark
and determining whether the events are precipitated
by underfueling or over-advance (or just bogus).

I just want the motor to rev up instantly if I hit the pedal, now it rev's up with some hesitation

jimmyblue: I have A-tap

More information like year & specifics about the engine & PCM could be helpful.

Are you running a MAF?
closed or open-loop operation?
Anything deleted?
Anything relocated? O2's? MAF?
Everything hooked up to the PCM?
Have you done any scanning/datalogging? wideband? DTC codes?

Sluggish throttle response and hesitations are actually two different things.

Hesitations are usually a fuel issue, normally a lack of. It could be caused by something else though.

timing, fueling, lightened engine components (rods, pistons, crank, flywheel etc), head design, induction system, pcm follower settings too help to make your throttle more responsive.

its a '99 out of a Camaro
yes, I'm running a MAF with a K&N filter no Air-box, deleted rear O2's, EGR, Air Pump, removed cats, no wideband,
I'm scanning with A-tap - turned out that the TPS threw a code (think it was 0122) at WOT it's only showing 11% of Throttle blade opening, yes I replaced the TPS, I checked all the connectors and wires, I measured the voltage and the resistance evrything's fine, other than the hesitation the Motor is just running great...

When you replaced the bad TPS did you unhook your battery for a while so it will do a quick re-learn?

eliminated vacuum leaks and leaks between the MAF and the TB?

How about ignition misfires? checked plugs & wires?

I just ask these assuming it might be a mechanical other than a calibration fault causing your hesitation.
You could certainly adjust the calibration to fix the hesitation, but it doesn't fix the cause and isn't the best way to go.

Is the hesitation there during open-loop when you first start the engine cold?
