Default Timing EXPERTS inside.....

Ok guys, I have a question for you.

I have a 99 WS6, originally a 6 spd car, Now it has a turbo 350 in it.

My question is, Will the car recognize that it is in park and in gear without hooking any electrical up to the tranny?

I want to make sure that the car is not in the PARK timing table when I am running it down the track. I have absolutely no electrical hooked up to this tranny.

Thanks in advance.

You'll still have to have a VSS input to the PCM.
Then the timing will function correctly between idle/park & driving.

It's not going to use the Park/In gear functionality since it was a 6-speed before (assuming that you still have the M6 program in the PCM). With the TH350, it's going to operate just like the T56 did before as long as you are giving it a VSS signal.

This is really simple. Get a factory gear selector switch (or was that P/N switch?) off a factory auto shifter and rig it up to yours. Run the wiring just like the factory did to the pcm. Then enable the automatic transmission in the code. No wires to the trans needed. I'm a big fan of keeping that feature. It's always nice to have the idle speed up a touch when going into P/N.

he figured out what the deal was. having the idle speed adjust for P/N really isn't needed on a track car.
