Default couple ? on O2 heated oxogen sensors

OK got the Bosh 13111 at napa paid $73. each. I did smell something burning thinking this was the newness of sensor smell dissappeared in about 2 hours.

glad to see the peskie SES go off. after 2 days (just did regular driving did'nt do the driving procedure.

My ?s are
1.did I get a cheap disscounted verision of the real bosh 13111?

2. how long can I expect these to last Steve meents mentioned expect to replace more often with LTs?

3.thoughts on half the # of slites in sensor prob. compared to stock O2?

4. I'm thinking the bad O2 caused the peskie Po300 misfire?

5. will I notice a preformace improvement without the extentions?

6. which color wire should I use to connect the air/fuel ratio meter up to?

7. is it normal for both fronts to bad at same time?

Thanks

The Bosch 13444’s are for cars with stock manifolds and you will need to buy O2 extensions if you have long tubes. The Bosch 13111’s are Corvette rear O2 sensors which have a longer wire harness that eliminates the need for extensions.

1. sounds like it
2. not sure... I've had my stock O2s in the car for ~30k miles (30k w/long tubes), only replaced cause I wanted to see how the Denso O2s worked ... but stockers were still fine
3. no thoughts here... a sample is a sample as far as the O2 is concerned...
4. Yes, a bad O2 can cause a misfire (incorrect fueling)
5. probably not... O2s aren't used for performance (WOT) ... only part throttle... may notice a slight increase in fuel economy... I ran an extension for years and never had an issue
6. none.. (well it's purple/white .... there are PCM pin-outs available , search... ) narrowband A/F gauges are useless... just a light show
7. no... if you got codes for both fronts then it's probably something else.. only way I can see both going bad at same time is if you ran leaded gasoline

Default O2 sensors

SUP:Horist thanks for infor. I'd like to think some of the car parts sales places are way overpriced since this box has the 13111 printed on it I'm thinking I recieved the same part the the overpriced places are asking. not a cheap discounted version.

Car seams to run fine but have noticed after warm startup it will stumble a little what's causing this the newness of O2s? only driven 150 miles. and will this stumbling continue?

Thanks for anwsers to all 1-7? .

I'm noticeing you are the man in PCM area.

Hey badmfkr, did you need adaptors to hook those 13111's to your TA's front wiring? Or did they plug right in? Thanks.

Yes Mame I say Mame because you appear to be over 100 years old.

that was the whole point to ileninate the extendtions because the electronic event of the o2 senders signal to the pcm will be slowed down makeing the car slower.thats not the plan.

the connection from just regular o2 sensosrs into extenders is not as good as a complete wire meaning the event ocurres so fast in useconds (mille) it's better not to have a break in the connection.

Thanks. The reason I asked is, in your other thread there was a guy, I think it was "SideStep", that said you would need an adaptor.

BTW, I must ask. What is a "Mame"? Is that the opposite of a "yute"?

I'd check your o2 wires. Can't say I ever smelled anything installing my new o2's. Could of been the new wire burning against the header.

How long will they last?

I got new 13111s recently.

My passenger side stopped switching properly after a week. (1 year replacement guarantee).

I replaced it. Worked fine..... for a month. Now it's switching much slower than drivers side. Part throttle response is down as well.
