Default open or closed loop

at idle, once the o2 have heated up, isn't the engine suposed to run on a closed loop fuel delivery system?

If the o2s are fully heated, the car will be in closed loop.

Are you not seeing any codes or is it just not tripping any? I had my car do this but I was getting insufficient switching codes. Sometimes it would trip a SES light, other times it wouldn't.

the mechanic said there were no codes on the scanner, said it was because the o2 were not heated up enough. he thinks its because i took the cats off, i think he is full of ****. i think its a bad sensor, just not bad enough to trip a code. also at wot i am having my timing retarded to 9 degrees. what a mess!

I'd almost look into a new tuner IMO. This is why guys end up buying the software and doing it themselves.

The $825 includes a wideband as well. Pick up a inexpensive Dell for under $600 and you are all set.
