Default Resetting 98 Ls1 Pcm

Hey I have a 98 Ls1 and I need to reset the Pcm so my SES will go off now that I have my o2 sims. I have tried the regular pulling the two fuses and waiting and then reinstalling but the ses light is still on. Can I just unhook the battery for like an hour and that will work? I heard 98 Pcms are different from 99-02's so I dont know if that play in or what. Help!!!

didnt want to make a new thread for a quick simple question... when i unplug my battery for a good amount of time, then plug it in and start the car, it will barely idle. it putts around 200rpm, and sometimes dies. when turn it off, take out the key, put the key back in, then start it again, it runs perfect. is this normal? i would assume the computer has to relearn something or other, but it seems odd that it runs like junk until i turn it off, instead of just fixing itself while idling.

The pcm has to relearn the idle.

Yeah, it's normal - it also resets the readiness tests.
