Default A Quick Question For Novice Tuner

I am looking at picking a new editing software and want to know what is the easiest to learn and has the best support. I have a decent tune in the car now but hate to send it out and spend $$$ multiple times getting the tune correct. I figure if I can log some runs and see what it is doing. Then I can get some help online getting the tune right.

Either that or I can spend $450 and have it tuned, then $50 a crack plus down time sending my computer back and forth to get the tune right. That can add up to more than a tuning sooftware package quickly.

As I said I know only basics about the car and tuning. I figure adding and subtracting tuning, playing with shift points and +/- fuel should get me there.

Any ideas of what product I should buy?

How much help can I get here online?

Thanks for the help!

Bill

check out the stickies up top, you'll see both hptuners & efilive lead the pack as far as tuning goes. As far as support goes you've got forums like this as well as hptuners forum with ~4000 members & efilives with ~1300 members. Also both have email support.

Thanks for your input....... What HP Tuners product would you suggest. See sig. for vehicle details. Not sure if that makes a difference. I more or less want to use it to dial in someone elses tune.

Thanks Again!

If you get HPT get the EIO so you can hook up a wideband. Those are your two choices though, HPT and EFI Live. Just do some reading to see which will suit you the best (as far as using it, both will net you similar results in the end)

I went with HPT when it first came out... Ive found the software to be excellent. Their latest product is even easier to use.

I prefer EFILive. Have used them all and imo Live is easier to use.
