Default Check out my idle PIDS and give me your input..PLEASE!

'02 Camaro 232/236 .574 .577 112, LT, ORY, Shaner TB, De-screened MAF

Car has been running fine except every once in awhile it surges at cold when I first start the car up. But not to bad. I just logged this for ***** and giggles. I have attached the log file.

no **** it surges at cold, you're off 13g/sec at low temps
right now you have enough data to fix it, so... git 'er dun!

Marcin,

How do I use the data to fix it? I'm pretty sure that I apply it to the RAF table, correct
? But not sure if I add or decrease the values.

Would you mind taking a look at my bin file if I email it to you? Then you can see exactly what I have done to the PCM. I'm wanting to get this done tody so I can put in the wideband and tune VE and WOT.

Thanks
Dave

set up a histo of STIT vs ECT and then add the result to the appopriate poriton of RAF table.
another approach is to log expected idle airflow, and just use use to replace the RAF table altogether.
try both, see which one works better for you.

I have been playing around trying to figure out how to setup custom PIDS for the Historgram and for the life of me I cant seem to get it. Can you show me the light! I was goint to try and log expected idle airflow but I'm not sure which PID that is. I went ahead and startes tunign my VE with the LC-1 today and after about four passes on the VE table, I figured otu that I can set my cell count for the Histogram to start logging data. I havent messed with my HPT in about 6 months so i feel like a newb again. Thanks for the patience!

I highlighted the important parts, the corresponding tables/pids and how to use them.
Also, as a bonus, I threw in a basic filter (TPS senson only at 0%) and a minimum sample count (5) to demo what else you can use to make this better.

The first one show how it's done with desired idle airflow. this is a replacement for your current RAF.

The second one is the same idea, but done with just a modifier (STIT).

There used to be another way, which uses combining STIT and LTIT, but since LTIT is for some unknown reason stuck permanently at -0.5 on my car, I've been ignoring for a long time, and nothing bad came of it, considering that my STIT usually hovers < 0.1g/sec difference

the desired idle airflow is a bit easier to do, as it's a straight copy and paste, but I like to do it only on a first pass, and then I'd rather look at the deltas (STIT).

and as always, check your units, it will bite you in the *** one of these days

RedHardSupra, in your first method/example, the idle desired airflow is 14.65 g/sec at 84 deg ECT. However, the RAF table at 89 deg is 22.53. Are you saying to change the 22.53 to 14.65 at 89 deg in the base RAF table?
Thanks in advance!
