You can get into the high hundreds/low thousands easily with a custom OS. Real-time features are slowly making their way into the stock PCM world, which is helping to make tuning a lot easier (like those stand alone systems).

the main issue w/the stock OS is if you want to rev really high
Other than that, the sky's the limit. Harlan runs a factory PCM in is (OS may not exactly match up though lol)
w/custom Operating systems available from HP Tuners and EFI Live the sky's the limit... you can get a 3 bar custom OS and boost all you want
One thing that the aftermarket PCMs have is wideband O2 fuel correction at WOT, but that may be a feasible (or rather safety net) option with HP Tuners and their Real Time Tuning solution (once the auto tune is done... in theory you could have it setup so that if actual AFR goes too lean, dump in fuel to bring it back down... however have to remember that this is always going to be after the fact (combustion already occurred))
