Default Ann Arbor, MI Area - $50 for someone to do re-learn and clear P1336 SES code.

EDIT - Request already filled - thanks!

Hi,

Picked up a P1336 SES code because Diablosport had to wipe and restore my ECM from scratch. I need someone with tuning software that can do the learn procedure and wipe the code, or I suppose a Tech II if anyone actually as one.

Don't want to go to the dealer.

Ann Arbor / Plymouth MI area.

PM please.

I don't know perfectly but if you search P1336 lots of threads come up. It is the crankshaft position sensor - needs to "learn" to each motor I guess, but not every time. Just bad luck.

Need a tech II or tuner software to do it, simple to do I guess if you know how.

A crank relearn....did you have the motor apart or did you replace the sensor?

I'll be up in Lansing this weekend. Maybe I can swing by on the way back and we could give it a go depending on how things go this weekend?

My original predator failed during loading and totally locked the ECM. Diablosport had to "factory restore" my ECM, and sent me an updated predator.

Things were fine for awhile but the code popped just the other day. Thier tech support acknowledges this happens on a small percent of cars, so I am the lucky winner.

I'd appreciate an effort from someone local, but at the same time I'd mostly like someone who has been through it before, has the software, and can do it for sure. Otherwise I'll just suck it up and give the dealer the $50.

Can you drive the car to my house? I've never done a crank relearn (is that the same as CASE Learn?) but I'm sure that my HPT scanner can do it. Shoot me your # and we can figure out a time to meet somewhere.

Yup you can do it in HPT... just be sure to follow the instructions in the help file. It's part of the Bidirectional control area in the scanner

Scooter, I would drive to Auburn Hills Sunday, no problem.

Fast98, where are you located?

Thanks!

I'm in Farmington Hills.... much closer to you than Auburn Hills. However, if pman is offering to do it and he has HPT for any 2000 F-body, he will be able to do other things for you (remove CAGS, etc) that I can't do without using 2 $50 credits. If he's local and will hook you up, I'd go see him. If not, I can still do it for you. (I won't take your money either.) It looks like you have 3 options. Let me know if either of the other two guys don't work out and I'll do it Sunday afternoon.

I don't need anything else done, I am fine with the tuning flexibility the Predator has to offer. All I need is the Tech II equivalent functionality to do the learn procedure and clear the code, no actual tune or programming work. I want to keep the standard predator functionality and not risk buggering up anything that might confuse the predator. They seem pretty touchy.

If that costs you any credits I will happily pay.

Oh, and I just typed Auburn Hills by accident, Farmington is fine. I'll PM a phone number if you could just let me know a time and address I'll be there. I doubt I'll do any better and that is pretty close to me.

Todd came up and we fixed it this morning. It took all of 30 seconds. Glad I could help. HPTuners rocks.
