MAF leak casue "too lean code"?

Default MAF leak casue "too lean code"?

What if you have a loose clamp that held the MAF to the intake. WOuld this casue a "Too lean Bank 1 code?"

no, the maf has no way to determine the bank to bank.

Wait4me:
So if that is true, I can eliminate the possiblity of a vacume leak since I would expect that I would give me a "too lean Bank 1" and "too lean Bank 2" code at the same time.

Is this correct?

Well, yes or no. Sorry, i cant say that.

It depends on where the leak is.

If the leak happens to be only on one side of the intake, or in a valve, or something that doesnt share the main inlet that is going to both banks.
