Default PCM Pinouts for 2001 Camaro LS1- help please!

Hi folks,
I have had to replace my crate motor pcm because HP Tuners will not recognise it. The replacement is 2001 Camaro. The pinouts are different. Could anyone give me a link to a pinout diagram/list for a 2001 Camaro?
I've done plenty of searches but I've seen some conflicting info.
I have the pinouts for 2001 F-Body from http://www.lastofthebreed.com/Servic...ssignments.htm
Are these the same?? Is this a reliable source??
Thanks,
Tom.

the only different pcm is the 98. the 99+ pcms use the same harness what years are on your HPT cable

Hi Hump,
The crate motor has a stand-alone program that the HPT will not recognise. It's a common problem with the crate motor. Hence getting a second pcm.
The pinouts are different also so in order to use the pcm that HPT can communicate with, I need to re-order the pinouts.
The new pcm is from a 2001 camaro and that's why I need the diagram/list.

I've got a list for the F-Body from the website in last post but C1 is down as Blue, C2 as Red. (my crate motor has C1 as Red, C2 as Blue.)

I'm beginning to lose it!

Hump,
Cheers for that.
It's amazing how much incorrect info is posted on the net.

Thanks again.
Tom.

I would contact somebody who can flash that pcm to a valid vin number. Any dealer with an offboard programing adapter should be able to do it.

But if you want to go with a newer pcm for various reasons, do you want to sell your 97-98 crate motor pcm, I would like to have a spare.

Or find someone with EFILive the scanner can change the vin for you if that is the problem. THe dealer flashed my pcm one time with a bogus vin and caused some issues with my scanning and tuning tools. I changed it with efilive and all was well. HPT wont let you change vins for models years you dont have or it doesnt understand....

Hi Slow,
I think it's just a matter of getting the pins in the right place now. My new pcm also has a 'production VIN and a stock 2001 tune.
My crate pcm is 2001 but the pins are completely different. Don't ask me why. They even move from the red to the blue. I'll hold onto it for now though thanks until I'm sure the new one is functioning correctly.

Ok, do the 2 pcm's look the same? Or does one have heatsinks on both sides, where the production one has a removable cover on one side.

The crate pcm has heat sinks on both sides. The boards are mated differently and the pinouts are in a very different order.
HPT are aware of the problem with the crate pcm regards the program.
Everyone with a crate pcm has the same issue. They checked the pcm details.
So I chose to get a production pcm (12200411 type) as a quick replacement (removable cover on one side) but the pinouts need re-arranging.

That sounds like a 1997-98 pcm hardware, which explains why it is different.
