Default Please post pics of your LM1 mounted.

Just got mine in today, thinking of putting it in the console but figured some of you might have already had a better idea.
Thanks!

You can use a XD16 gauge with either the LM1 or the LC1 one. I don't have mine mounted as it goes from vehicle to vehicle quite frequently so I just leave it on the floor board.

Where do you run the O2 sensor wire? I've actually seen people run it in the car and shut the door on the wire. I dont want to go for that look, trying to keep things real clean even during R&D time. I cant beleive the size of the plug on the O2 sensor wire, I'm gonna have to make almost a 3/4" hole just to get the sensor wire up through the firewall. I did see a rubber plug in the floor, might try to go that route.

I use the passenger side for all fbody's. Route the cable up near the front tire and take it through the black plastic fender cover at the bottom (near the lift point). Here you can take it physically through the door and then into the cabin. You still shut the door on the wire, but it is inside and can't see anything from outside.

Will it log all data, like RPM and the other inputs to my LMA2?

Do you have a block off for the 02 bung that's welded in then for when it's in another car? Any benifit to not keeping it installed? Does that preserve the life of the sensor?

I was thinking of coming up through the shifter. Anyone have pics of that?

Thanks

I swear I read yesterday that if you keep the sensor mounted in the pipe you must power it up every time the engines running. It said that the gas fumes would damage the sensor if it wasnt powered up.

Look on page 6 here.

If the sensor is in a car, it is on. I normally use the front O2 bung for the wideband and when I am done, either block it with a old O2 or reattach the factory O2 and put it back into closed loop.

What do you suggest the typical weekend mechanic to do with regards to the overall setup? Do people usually just weld a bung in place for the WB02, keep it installed, and keep the narrow band 02 as is? Or is there a better approach like emulating the narrowband 02?

Still no pics yet

If you are like me and like to tinker on the car all the time, I just put the car into open loop, run the wideband all the time and forget about the front O2's.

Chad how much are the XD16 gauges??

I would rather have one up on the pillar instead of having to pick up the LM-1 while driving.

Thanks!!
