Default F-body ECU/CPU experts ONLY please

Ok I have a 2000 Trans Am and I absolutely love the way that the computer can be basicly programed for any of the LSX engines. My question goes as follows:

I have recently aquired this 1992 Celica All-Trac and Its my DD (2k T/A has 44k miles) I love this little car but Its a little primitive on stuff like the computer. Would there be ANY way to maybe re-pin the All-Trac wiring harness and to reprogram the F-body computer to work on the Stock All-trac 3SGTE? I know somethings might have to be changed like it would have to go from the AFM to MAF but If its doable I would love to Tune the All-Trac using LS1 edit or any other LSX tuner program.

Not worth the effort.

Consider an aftermarket fuel management system like Mega-Squirt.

anything is possible so long as you have the budget. I would think a FAST, BS3, AEM, Tech2/3, or some other aftermarket controller would be easier.

Your trouble would be adapting LSx pcm compatable sensors, spark controllers, ect to make it work. It wont be worth the effort.

The above aftermarket computers will be your best bet.

wow, looks like the Hydra Nemesis is the way to go. The reason I would like to use the LS1 CPU because on this engine is you go above a level of power you have to change the Injectors, and to change the Injectors you have to get a stand alone computer, or pigy back the original. I figure instead of doing all that I would much rather just replace the Main computer and go with something more programable, like the LS1 computer. I know I would probably have to put in alot of GM sensors to do this cpu swap, but I would like to know If its even posible, can the LS1 cpu run a 4 cyl engine? can you tune out the crank sensor and other little sensors that the 4cyl will not have?

seems like an ecotec computer(think its about the same if not the same as the LS1) would be a closer idea, but is way too much trouble IMO. there are tons of aftermarket computers for nearly any jap car for just what u want
